Zaporizhzhya businessman Hatunok bought "Citrus" with funds from partner Davityan, who withdrew over 3 billion hryvnias from Ukraine

Another interesting example of how funds stolen from the state are laundered through relatively legal businesses.

In August 2025, Zaporizhzhya businessman Artur Hatunok acquired the electronics store chain «Citrus».

Artur Hatunok is also the owner of the Yabluka store chain.

But the most interesting part is hidden behind the scenes, and it’s not the cost of the deal to purchase the «Citrus» chain, which consists of official and cash components (totaling ~ 700 million UAH), but rather where Artur got such funds from?

Artur acquired the chain with debts amounting to nearly 13 million UAH.

The money was provided to Hatunok by Vemir Davityan, who, through the companies of his father-in-law Oleksandr Haydar, has withdrawn over 3 billion UAH from Ukraine in the last 4 years.

Vemir Davityan is a long-time partner of Artur Hatunok, connected through the Yabluka store chain and the beach entertainment complex Pool&Beach (Zaporizhzhya).
