Kremlin’s nuclear blackmail: DIU warned about Russia’s plans to attack substations powering Ukrainian NPPs

Russia is considering strikes on substations of Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, - DIU.

In order to force Ukraine to agree to unacceptable capitulation terms regarding the cessation of the war, the aggressor state Russia is considering the option of attacking strategic objects of our country’s energy system – specifically, substations for electricity transmission that ensure the operation of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. 

As part of its pressure campaign, Moscow also intends to intensify intimidation of European countries and the West in general to reduce support for Ukraine, particularly our ability to counter Russia’s terrorist air strikes on critically important energy infrastructure facilities.
