Morning attack on Kharkiv: a series of powerful explosions rang out in the city, smoke rises over the impact sites

In Kharkiv today, January 19, around 10:00 AM, a series of powerful explosions was heard, as officially reported by the city mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the RMA Oleh Syniehubov.

According to preliminary data, Russian forces struck the Slobidskyi district of the city, likely using ballistic weapons and rocket artillery. Columns of smoke are rising into the sky at the impact sites, and the threat of new air attacks remains relevant. Currently, local authorities and emergency services are clarifying information regarding possible damage to civilian infrastructure and the presence of casualties among the city’s residents.
