The head of the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office in the Defenсe Sphere of the Eastern Region, Mykola Synelnykov, reported on January 2, 2026, the purchase of a BMW X3 (2022) for... 974 thousand hryvnias. He also spent an additional 271 thousand hryvnias on customs clearance. He stated that he sold movable property to a citizen, Oleksandr Skochynskyi, for the amount of 936 thousand hryvnias.

Similar cars cost significantly more, as according to sales websites, vehicles of this class are priced from 1.9 million to over 3 million hryvnias.

 Overall, the declaration of the head of the specialized prosecutor’s office raises many questions. For instance, Synelnykov Mykola, no longer being a serviceman, still uses official housing provided by the Ministry of Defenсe of Ukraine in the city of Cherkasy. Are there no servicemen in need of housing, while the head of the prosecutor’s office continues to use it while residing in Dnipro?

In turn, the wife of the head of the Eastern Region Prosecutor’s Office purchased an apartment and a non-residential premises in Lviv in June 2023 for over 3.3 million hryvnias.

 One day, a social explosion will come, and these prosecutors will not be saved by their "credentials."
