Scandal over the mobilization of doctors in Volyn: TRC responds to accusations of detaining medics with reservation
In Volyn, the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC) mobilized several doctors who had valid exemptions from mobilization. The TRC commented on the situation regarding the detention of Volyn medics.
It is known about the following doctors: Yevheniia Rozmarytsa from Kovel, Pavlo Onishchuk from Lyuboml, and Bohdan Poznyakevych from Lokachi. Relatives claim that their rights have been violated, and their detention is occurring without legal grounds.
The Volyn TRC reports that it has a task to mobilize medics for the needs of the Medical Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The doctors were summoned to update their data, assess their qualifications, and undergo a military medical commission (MMC). Some doctors were released after the MMC. Others were stripped of their exemptions by the heads of medical institutions, after which they are subject to conscription with a one-year contract. The TRC notes that the decision to revoke exemptions is not made by them, but by the relevant state authorities.
