Smuggling worth 2 million: a batch of iPhone 17 hidden among used clothing seized in Lviv region
iPhones worth 2 million: Lviv customs officers discovered undeclared goods.
Today, on January 26, a Mercedes-Benz minibus arrived at the "Krakivets - Korczowa" checkpoint from Poland, driven by a 27-year-old resident of Ivano-Frankivsk.
For customs clearance, the driver chose the "red corridor" lane and declared the transportation of 100 kg of used clothing and three EcoFlow charging stations in the declaration.
However, during the inspection, customs officers found 26 undeclared gadgets among personal belongings in the vehicle’s cabin. Specifically, these were iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro, with a total value of approximately 2 million hryvnias.
A report was drawn up on this incident in accordance with Part 2 of Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine.
