"Peace by June is realistic": Zelenskyy names conditions for ending hostilities by summer

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a conversation with journalists on February 11. He noted that if the desire to end the war exists not only in Ukraine but also in the aggressor, then "we will manage to stop the hostilities by summer."

"After all, the step-by-step nature of this process primarily depends on security guarantees for Ukrainians. To know, and not just believe, that future Russian aggression will be impossible. Or if it still dares to do so – we will not be alone, and we will be protected by strong support," – Zelenskyy explained.

According to him, the issue of the status of the Donetsk region remains unresolved.

"Regarding territorial issues, our positions differ," – the president added.
