Businessman Ihor Mazepa fatally hit a person in Zhytomyr region and is trying to avoid responsibility. He may be assisted in this by the head of Zvyahel Prosecutor’s Office, Ivan Ostrovskyi.

Ihor Mazepa, while driving a Mercedes Maybach, hit a male pedestrian. The victim died on the spot due to the injuries sustained. The circumstances of the accident are currently being investigated. A police investigative team and the leadership of the Zvyahel District Prosecutor’s Office of Zhytomyr region were working at the scene of the accident.

According to sources in law enforcement, the head of the Zvyahel District Prosecutor’s Office, Ivan Ostrovskyi, also arrived at the scene of the tragic accident. Incidentally, Ostrovskyi has registered all his property under his unemployed wife, including two luxury foreign cars and a large residential house in the suburbs of Zhytomyr.

A short conversation took place between Mazepa and Ostrovskyi, after which the head of the Zvyahel District Prosecutor’s Office simply left the scene. The content of the conversation between the businessman and the prosecutor remains unknown, but according to our sources, it was after their private discussion that law enforcement officers suddenly began discussing versions such as “unfavorable weather conditions,” “a pedestrian crossing the road in an unauthorized place,” and even claims that the deceased was allegedly heavily intoxicated.

Today, some media outlets and popular Telegram channels, while reporting on the fatal accident involving the businessman, have started adding details that “the pedestrian was crossing the road in an unauthorized place on an unlit section of the highway.”

Ihor Mazepa himself also commented on the fatal accident. However, he did not specify that he had fatally hit a person, merely stating: “I was involved in an accident involving a third party.” In other words, the businessman fatally struck a pedestrian but cynically referred to it as “an accident involving a third party.”
