Japan has provided Ukraine with 13 generators for critical infrastructure in Kyiv, - Shmyhal

Ukraine has received 13 generators from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), intended to support critical infrastructure in Kyiv, including the municipal enterprise "Kyivteploenergo."

This was reported by the First Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Energy of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

"The generators will be installed at heating plants in Kyiv and will provide heat to approximately 300 residential buildings, hospitals, schools, and kindergartens," the statement published on the social network X on Wednesday reads.

Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the Government of Japan and JICA for their consistent support: "We thank the Government of Japan and JICA for their unwavering support of Ukraine’s energy resilience!" he noted in the post.
