Russians have once again attacked Ukraine’s heat-generating facilities: Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa left without heat
In the night leading to February 12, Russians conducted another shelling of Ukraine’s heat-generating facilities; Kyiv, Dnipro, and Odesa were among the targets hit.
This was reported on Telegram by Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction - Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksiy Kuleba.
«This night, Russia once again deliberately targeted Ukraine’s civilian and energy infrastructure. Kyiv, Odesa region, Dnipro, Sumy region, and others came under massive attacks,» the message states.
In Kyiv, the enemy’s target was again heat-generating facilities. As a result of this attack, heating has been suspended for about 2,600 residential buildings in several districts of the city. Another 1,100 buildings remain without heat due to previous massive shelling and damage to the Darnytsia TPP. Water supply and sewage systems are operational.
In Odesa, due to power outages, around 300,000 people have been left without water supply. Nearly 200 buildings are without heat. Efforts are underway to restart systems, and where possible, backup power sources are being utilized.
In Dnipro, as a result of the massive attack, heating has been cut off for 10,000 subscribers. The launch of an alternative heat supply source has begun. Modular boiler units are being activated for social infrastructure facilities.
