A serviceman on unauthorized leave detonated a grenade in a Kyiv apartment: one person killed, two injured

In Kyiv, a serviceman on unauthorized leave detonated a grenade in an apartment: one of his comrades was killed, and another was injured, the police reported.

According to the investigation, a 29-year-old serviceman, who had left his service without permission, visited an acquaintance in Obolon. They were drinking alcohol, after which a conflict arose. The serviceman took out a grenade and detonated it in the kitchen, resulting in the death of the 45-year-old apartment owner, while another guest was injured.

The serviceman himself also sustained injuries but attempted to flee the scene; however, he was detained.
