Zelenskyy: No one can guarantee that Putin will not launch a new attack on Ukraine

No one can give Ukraine guarantees that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not launch a new attack.

This was stated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with British journalist Piers Morgan, published on YouTube.

«As of today, no one can give us, with all due respect to the powerful American president [Donald Trump] and America as a whole, a very firm promise,» — the president said.

Zelenskyy emphasized that he means the United States is a strong country, and Ukraine needs its security guarantees.

«But even with all of this, no one can tell us or give us a promise that Putin will not come again,» — added the Ukrainian leader.

Zelenskyy also stressed that when it comes to security guarantees, Ukraine means they must be strong.

«That the rest of the world or certain countries will be ready to respond to Putin if he returns with his aggression or when he comes again,» — he noted.
