Anatoliy Hunko became the first Member of Parliament to be actually imprisoned for abuse of influence. The High Anti-Corruption Court sentenced him to 4 years in prison for a bribe of $85,000, which he was caught receiving by NABU and SSU in 2023.

However, it seems he strongly believed in a trouble-free future even after the first suspicion. Meanwhile, his relatives acquired new companies, spheres of influence, and assets, and likely planned to expand the land scheme.
