From loud statements to hiding: Ihor Latyshev’s "people’s army" project fell apart after the first videos
The project of so-called rapid response groups and people’s army collapsed as swiftly as it began.
After the first official videos, enthusiasm sharply waned, and car owners, who initially posed with their backs to the cameras, later reported that they practically knew nothing about this initiative — a loud start without a clear understanding of the purpose.
According to information from law enforcement sources, the movement’s leader, Ihor Latyshev, allegedly joined the Defence Forces of Ukraine and began undergoing basic military training, but reports emerged about a possible unauthorized absence from the unit, and now, instead of statements about «rapid response,» there are stories of threats and hiding.
In the end, this whole story resembles more of a short-lived performance with a predictable outcome.
