64 searches and an arsenal of grenade launchers: a scheme to evade mobilization under the guise of a public organization was exposed in Odesa

The Prosecutor’s Office reported the exposure in Odesa of the public organization «Ukraine – This Is Mother», which, in collaboration with the Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC), received money from men for assistance in evading mobilization.

According to the investigation, for one thousand dollars, the organization issued its certificates that provided protection from mobilization, but with the condition of patrolling the city together with the TRC. For 3,000 dollars, one could obtain protection from the TRC without any additional obligations.

In addition, for a certain amount, they offered removal from «wanted» status, release upon detention, and access to a Telegram channel for 3,000 UAH, where information about the locations of TRC posts was published.

During 64 searches, over 1.6 million UAH in various currencies, 6 units of firearms, 38 hand-held grenade launchers, 6 vehicles, numerous certificates, and seals were seized.

The head of the public organization «Ukraine – This Is Mother» is Lapin Oleksiy, whose date of birth is November 9, 1997. In the past, he had legal issues due to hooliganism.
