Apartments in the city center, luxury cars, and paintings: court seizes assets of OPFL deputy Pavlo Mayerchyk
The Uzhhorod City and District Court seized real estate, luxury cars, and corporate rights in several companies of Pavlo Mayerchyk, a city council deputy from the OPFL party, who is suspected of providing false information in his declaration and laundering property.
The deputy was released from pre-trial detention after posting a bail of 11.5 million UAH.
As reported by the Zakarpattia Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, March 2, within the framework of the criminal investigation, two apartments in the historical part of Uzhhorod, five land plots on Mynaiska and Vysoka streets, corporate rights in private enterprises and companies, as well as luxury-class cars were seized. Additionally, 9 paintings by well-known Zakarpattia artists, which were confiscated during searches of the deputy’s residence, were also seized.
«Law enforcement officers are verifying the sources of origin of the assets, as well as the possible ownership by third parties with the aim of concealing the deputy’s actual property status,» – the prosecutor’s office stated.
