Dnipro Mayor Filatov believes that Russia may launch an offensive with the aim of capturing the city, as stated in his interview with Le Monde.

«On this winter day, the mayor of Dnipro notes that the front line is getting closer, and with it, missile and drone strikes. Powerless but not defeated, he knows that in the event of a new offensive, capturing his city will be a priority target for the Russian army and will become a real turning point in the war», the article states.

Further, the author writes that «at the current pace of advance, the Russian army is still far from Dnipro, but everyone understands how important a target this industrial city is».

Zelenskyy also says that a new Russian offensive is already being prepared.

«Putin lost his winter offensive. Now the Russians will try spring offensives, but I think they will lose again», the president said.
