"Grenade" in a bank: in Pryluky, a 51-year-old man threatened financial institution employees over money
Employees of the Pryluky District Police Department have opened a criminal case regarding hooligan actions committed by a 51-year-old local resident. The man threatened employees of a financial institution and posed a danger to visitors, thereby obstructing the bank’s operations. No one was harmed as a result of his actions.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of March 5. In the premises of the bank branch, an alarm was triggered, after which a police security unit, an investigative-operational group from the Pryluky District Police Department, and criminal police officers arrived at the scene.
Operatives established that a conflict arose between a 51-year-old resident of Pryluky and bank employees over financial issues. During the argument, the man began threatening those present. While communicating with the police, he claimed to have a grenade on him. An item resembling a pyrotechnic grenade was seized from him and sent for examination.
Based on this incident, a police investigator, under the procedural guidance of the Pryluky District Prosecutor’s Office, opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (hooliganism). The offender faces up to five years of restriction of liberty.
The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
