Strike on RF exports: drones attacked the oil port in Primorsk, a large-scale fire broke out

On the night before March 23, explosions were heard in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation: the region was attacked by drones. The port in Primorsk came under strike – one of Russia’s largest export oil terminals on the Baltic Sea.

The attack was reported by the Telegram channel Exilenova+. According to local authorities, a fire broke out on the port territory.

According to Exilenova+, tonight in Primorsk of the Leningrad region, good drones reached the seaport.

"Defense Forces struck the seaport in Primorsk of the Leningrad region, one of Russia’s largest export oil terminals on the Baltic. The pipeline system’s capacity is up to 75 million tons of oil per year," the message states.

The fire on the port territory was recorded by NASA FIRMS satellites.

Over time, the fire intensified.

The governor of the Leningrad region, Alexander Drozdenko, was forced to confirm the attack.

"A fuel tank was damaged at the Primorsk port, a fire broke out. Firefighting is underway, personnel have been evacuated. Combat operations to repel the attack continue," the Russian official wrote around 4 a.m.

By that time, according to him, Russian air defense had allegedly "shot down" 35 UAVs. And half an hour later, he claimed "over 50 drones destroyed."

 

At the same time, Drozdenko did not mention other "achievements" of Russian air defense: besides footage of the glow over the port territory, videos of the occupiers’ "work" not only on drones but also on the region’s settlements appeared online.

One such video, according to the Russian independent outlet ASTRA, captured the explosion of a Russian air defense missile a kilometer from a military plant in the city of Gatchina.

"OSINT analyst from ASTRA analyzed the footage and concluded that the video shows the explosion of a Russian air defense missile. According to our analysis, the explosion occurred in a residential area near the 12th school. Approximately a kilometer from the explosion site is the VISCORM repair facility — the joint-stock company ’Special Design and Technology Bureau VISCORM’... The enterprise specializes in the development and production of close-combat weapons and explosive devices; creation of special equipment for the needs of law enforcement agencies. Included in the register of organizations of the Russian defense-industrial complex (DIC)," the message states.
