The trailer saved lives: six builders were injured during the attack on Pochayna
In Kyiv, on the night before April 16, a rocket exploded right next to the BOSTON Creative House construction site on Pochayna. Six builders were injured, two of them are currently in critical condition and are on the operating table. However, it was possible to prevent greater human losses: the main impact was taken by an ordinary construction trailer - other workers were hiding behind it.
This was reported by the director of the developer company Saga Development, which is building BOSTON Creative House, Andriy Vavrysh in a Facebook post.
According to him, as a result of another Russian attack on Kyiv on April 16, the rocket explosion occurred in close proximity to the construction site. The facility itself sustained serious damage: windows and facade elements blown out, internal parts of the building damaged, equipment, construction site.

"But the most important thing is people. Unfortunately, as a result of the shockwave, our builders were injured. Six people were hospitalized. Two of them are currently in critical condition, undergoing surgery. We are very much waiting for good news and praying for their recovery," Vavrysh said in the post.
According to the developer, there was one "terrible and at the same time fortunate" detail in the strike on the construction site. The main blast was absorbed by an ordinary construction trailer standing next to the explosion site. Vavrysh assumes that it was what protected the people hiding behind it.

"There is one more bitter irony to this story: we were expecting a SACI inspector on Monday to commission the first launch complex. We were literally one step away from this stage. But the war interferes again in life, deadlines, plans, normal work processes. And, unfortunately, not for the first time. In recent months, we have repeatedly gone through the aftermath of shelling — when the infrastructure of our contractors was damaged, production stopped, deliveries were disrupted, schedules shifted," the developer complained.
Vavrysh also added that the strike by the RF on April 16 will also affect the object’s completion timeline. Saga Development will need 48 hours to conduct a full assessment of the "strike" consequences, and then will report updated commissioning timelines for BOSTON.
