A 100-million-hryvnia case: The National Police have carried out 50 searches across the country in connection with fraud involving firewood for the AFU

Damages of 100 million UAH from firewood procurement for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: National Police conducted about 50 searches in 15 regions.

The SID of the National Police detected schemes of inflating prices on firewood for the Armed Forces of Ukraine — in a number of contracts, the cost exceeded the market price by 30–40%, and part of the goods were not delivered at all.

Officials of housing-operational departments and contractors are involved in the schemes. Within the framework of 20 criminal proceedings, approximately 50 searches were conducted in 15 regions and Kyiv.
