Former commander of the «Aidar» battalion Yevhen Dykyi believes that the conscription age in Ukraine should be lowered to 21 years.

«If I’m being honest, I don’t understand why we don’t start gradually lowering the conscription age from 25 to 21 years. With a guarantee that these young people cannot be sent to the front except voluntarily and at their own request — the probability of that is zero. They can be involved in military logistics, they can replace adult men in air defence. They can shoot down «Shaheds» in the rear, and those men who are currently doing this in the rear will be sent to the east», — Dykyi stated.
