Night attack on Tuapse: a large-scale fire broke out in the seaport and at the oil refinery
Overnight into April 20, drones struck the seaport and oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai, RF. A powerful fire broke out on the territory.
This is reported by Russian Telegram channels, the region’s governor Veniamin Kondratiev, and the monitoring channel Exilenova+.
Eyewitnesses report that a series of explosions rang out in the city, after which the port and the oil refinery caught fire. In addition, temporary restrictions on aircraft takeoffs and landings were introduced at the airports of Krasnodar and Gelendzhik.
Later, the governor of Krasnodar Krai stated that, according to preliminary data, as a result of the attack, one person was killed and another was injured. Damage to a gas pipeline and broken windows in several buildings were also recorded.
According to Russian media, a large fire engulfed the tank farm of the Tuapse Oil Refinery — the flames spread to at least 11 hotspots.
That night, residents of Tuapse also recorded strikes on the seaport.
