NCREPU has significantly increased electricity prices for business

NCREPU has almost doubled the cap prices for electricity for legal entities from May 1:

• on the «day-ahead» market and intraday market: maximum — 15 000 UAH/MWh, minimum — 10 UAH/MWh;

• on the balancing market: maximum — 17 000 UAH/MWh, minimum — 0.01 UAH/MWh.

Energy expert Oleh Popenko warns of negative consequences.

«An increase in the average electricity price for legal entities by +50-70% is expected already in May. This is a direct path to the bankruptcy of water utilities, heat supply companies, inflation, and rising cost of the consumer basket. We’re all fucked», — writes Popenko.
