Inflation is gaining momentum: in April, the annual price growth rate in Ukraine reached 8.6%

Inflation in Ukraine for the year in April rose to 8.6% compared to the same period last year, according to State Statistics Service data.

In March, this indicator was 1.4% lower.

Core inflation in April compared to March reached 0.9%, and compared to April 2025 – 7.6%.

The cost of food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 1.9%.

The largest increase (16.7%) was shown by prices for grain processing products. Sugar, sunflower oil, bread, pasta, fish and fish products, m’eat and meat products, fruits, vegetables, rice became 3.6–1.5% more expensive.

Eggs became 3.4% cheaper, prices for butter, cheeses, lard decreased by 1.5–0.5%.
