Frontline situation: since the beginning of the day, the Russians have carried out 60 attacks on the positions of the Defence Forces

As of 16:00 in May, the Russians attacked the positions of the Defence Forces 60 times. The most fighting took place on the Pokrovsk axis.

The General Staff reported this. 

Artillery shelling of border areas continues. Today in the Sumy region, the settlements of Koreniok, Novovasylivka, Rohozine, Yastrubshchyna, Budky, Atynske, Neskuche, Bachivsk, Luzhky, Volfyne, and Iskryskivshchyna were affected.

On the Northern Slobozhansk and Kursk axes, one combat engagement is ongoing out of the nine that took place today. In addition, the enemy conducted 41 shelling attacks on settlements and our troops’ positions, ten of which involved the use of multiple launch rocket systems.

On the Southern Slobozhansk axis, the enemy stormed the positions of our units eight times in the areas of the settlements of Zelenе, Starytsia, Petro-Ivanivka, Myrove, Symynivka, and Krasne Pershe. One combat engagement is ongoing.

On the Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, Orikhiv, and Dnipro axes, the enemy conducted no offensive actions today.

On the Lyman axis, today the enemy launched five assaults in the areas of the settlements of Zarichne, Lyman, Stavky, and Ozernе.

On the Sloviansk axis, the Defence Forces successfully repelled two attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of the settlements of Rai-Oleksandrivka and Riznykivka.

On the Kostyantynivka axis, the invaders conducted five attacks near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchivka, Stepanivka, and Ivanopillia. One combat engagement is ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have attempted 24 times to dislodge our warriors from their positions in the areas of the settlements of Rodinske, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Muravka, Novopidhirne, and in the direction of the settlements of Hannivka, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Novooleksandrivka. One combat engagement is ongoing so far.

On the Oleksandrivka axis, our defenders successfully stopped an enemy attack in the area of the settlement of Oleksandrhrad.

On the Huliaipole axis, the Defence Forces successfully repelled nine enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of RYBne, Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, and Huliaipilske.

On other axes, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded. Ukrainian troops are wearing down the enemy along the entire line of combat contact and in the rear.
