In Rivne, a scheme of illegal deferment through fictitious employment was exposed

In Rivne, a scheme of illegal reservation of military-liable persons operated through fictitious employment at a critical infrastructure enterprise. One of the participants in the scheme pleaded guilty and received a suspended sentence.

This is reported by «Economic Pravda» citing the verdict of the Rivne City Court.

According to the investigation, in 2023, Oleksandr Yanchuk began looking for men of conscription age, for whom fictitious employment relations with LLC «Rivneteploenergo» were arranged for money. This later allowed them to obtain reservation and avoid mobilization.

The scheme also involved another participant, against whom a separate pre-trial investigation is ongoing. It was to him that Yanchuk transferred the money received for arranging the documents. The case materials mention at least three episodes. The cost of such «services» was 200, 500, and 3200 dollars.

At the end of 2024, Yanchuk was detained during another attempt to negotiate with a military-liable person about fictitious employment for subsequent reservation from mobilization.

The court approved the plea agreement between the prosecutor and the accused. The man was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment but was released from serving the sentence with a one-year probationary period.
