BMW X5 and house near Kyiv: assets of the family of the head of the State Space Agency Mikheyev recognized as unjustified

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office filed a lawsuit with the High Anti-Corruption Court to recognize the assets of the family of the acting head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine as unjustified and to recover them into state revenue.

According to data from open sources, this position is held by Volodymyr Mikheyev. 

The assets in question include a 2017 BMW X5 worth 950 thousand UAH, registered to the official’s son, as well as a garden house with an area of 145.4 sq. m and a land plot near Kyiv. 

According to the SAPO, at the time of purchase, their value was 2.8 million UAH, however, the minimum market price of the assets is estimated at 5.46 million UAH.

The prosecutor’s office stated that the analysis of the official’s and his family’s income and expenses showed the impossibility of acquiring this property using legal income. 

The total value of the assets for which the lawsuit was filed exceeds 6.4 million UAH.

The court also imposed an arrest on this property as security for the claim.
