The EU plans to extend temporary protection for Ukrainians until 2028 with a gradual transition to other statuses

The European Union is most likely to extend the temporary protection regime for Ukrainians for another year — until March 2028.

At the same time, Europe is gradually planning to transfer people from temporary protection to other legal grounds for residence.

Poland has already prepared its solution — the CUKR residence card.
