Ukraine apologized for the drone incursion into Estonia: Pevkur reveals details of the incident

Ukraine’s Defence Minister Fedorov apologized for the drone entering Estonian airspace, said the country’s Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur.

The parties have already discussed the incident. Pevkur stressed that Ukraine did not request permission to use Estonian airspace.

According to him, the Ukrainian drone over Estonia was shot down by Romanian F-16 fighters. The target was detected in advance by radars and air defence systems, after which all necessary response procedures were activated.

The drone was shot down near Lake Võrtsjärv, it fell in a swampy area, and the search for debris continues. The investigation is being conducted by the Estonian Security Police.
