In the Kyiv region, the SBI uncovered a scheme to seize apartments of deceased people involving a district judge

In the Kyiv region, the State Bureau of Investigations has uncovered a scheme of illegal re-registration of apartments belonging to deceased citizens involving a district court judge.

According to the investigation, group members filed fictitious lawsuits claiming alleged family ties with the deceased and, through the court, obtained ownership rights to their housing. The judge, as law enforcement believes, facilitated decisions in favor of the “heirs” without proper grounds.

In this way, at least 5 apartments were illegally re-registered. The judge has been notified of suspicion.
