SES eliminates consequences of massive attack on Kyiv region: two people killed, residential buildings and warehouses damaged

At night and in the morning of May 24, Russia launched a massive strike on Ukraine. The main strike hit Kyiv, and the Kyiv region was also affected.

Damage to residential buildings, warehouse and outbuildings has been recorded in the Kyiv region, and fires broke out in several districts of the region. The consequences of the attack were demonstrated by the State Emergency Service.

Two people killed during nighttime massive Russian attack on Kyiv region

According to Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Mykola Kalashnyk, the shelling killed men in the Buchansky and Obukhiv districts. 

As of 07:23, the State Emergency Service reported that rescuers had eliminated the consequences of the massive Russian attack on the Kyiv region.

"As a result of another Russian attack on the territory of the Kyiv region, damage to residential buildings, warehouse and outbuildings, as well as fires in several districts of the region, have been recorded. State Emergency Service units worked on site," the agency said.

Bila Tserkva district

According to the State Emergency Service, a fire broke out in a garage cooperative in Bila Tserkva — three garages were burning.

Brovary district

In the village of Pukhivka, drone debris fell on open ground. Preliminary reports indicate no casualties or significant damage.

Vyshhorod district

In Vyshhorod, a hit on a multi-story residential building was recorded. Rescuers and State Emergency Service equipment were deployed to clear the consequences.

Fastiv district

In the village of Novosilky, a two-story apartment building was damaged.

In the village of Tarasivka, a private residential building was damaged as a result of the attack.

In the village of Vita-Poshtova, a fire broke out in two private residential buildings.

In the village of Nove, a private residential building was damaged.

Buchansky district

In the village of Horenka, a logistics center was damaged.

In Vyshneve, a multi-story residential building was damaged as a result of the attack. The fire was contained and extinguished over an area of 100 sq. m.

In the village of Bilohorodka, a warehouse was damaged.

In the village of Kryukivshchyna, an apartment building was damaged. State Emergency Service units and local fire brigades were deployed to clear the consequences.

Boryspil district

In Boryspil, a private sauna building was damaged as a result of the enemy attack. No fire was detected after the arrival of rescuers.
