The case of inciting an Odesa judge to bribe the leadership of the AFU and fraud amounting to 300 thousand dollars has been sent to court

NABU and SAPO have referred to the court an indictment against a person who incited a judge of the Kyiv District Court of Odesa to provide an unlawful benefit to the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, the judge, who is an accused in the NABU and SAPO case, was mobilized to a military unit. Despite this, the court did not suspend the proceedings, as the command confirmed the possibility of the judge’s participation in the hearings.

Taking advantage of the situation, the accused offered the judge to arrange her transfer to a combat military unit, which would effectively make it impossible for her to participate in the HACC hearings. For this, he demanded 300 thousand US dollars, which he allegedly was to transfer to the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

However, the perpetrator did not intend to transfer the money to military personnel but planned to keep it for himself. To convince the judge of the necessity of the bribe, he created the appearance of a transfer process and simulated communication with officials.

To conceal the transaction, the money transfer was to be carried out through a designated currency exchange point.

The person was detained in August 2025 after the transfer of the first part of the bribe in the amount of 144 thousand US dollars and was notified of suspicion. The investigating judge imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention.

The actions of the accused are qualified under Part 5 of Art. 190, Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 4 of Art. 27, Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
