HACC arrested the organizer of the scheme at the Tashlyk Pumped Storage Power Plant with an alternative bail of UAH 30 million

The High Anti-Corruption Court applied a preventive measure to the entrepreneur in the form of bail amounting to 30 million hryvnias. He is suspected of inflating the cost of equipment for «Energoatom» by 170 million hryvnias during the construction of a critical infrastructure facility.

This is reported by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, as well as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

«The investigating judge of the HACC imposed a preventive measure on the actual owner of several companies — the organizer of the scheme to embezzle nearly 170 million UAH from SE «NNEGC «Energoatom» during the construction of a critical infrastructure facility in Mykolaiv region — the Tashlyk Pumped Storage Power Plant», — the report says.

According to the court’s decision, the suspect was remanded in custody with the alternative of posting bail of 30 million hryvnias and the imposition of a number of procedural obligations if the bail is posted.

The prosecutor believes that bail of this amount will not be able to prevent the risks that formed the basis for applying the preventive measure.
