The case of the assassination attempt in Feodosia: Lawyer Karpenko demands 4.4 billion hryvnias in compensation from Kolomoiskyi

Lawyer who survived an assassination attempt ordered by Kolomoiskyi demands 4.4 billion UAH in compensation from the oligarch.

Serhiy Karpenko, who practices law, filed a lawsuit against Ihor Kolomoiskyi for 4.4 billion UAH (about 100 million dollars) as compensation for moral damage for the attempt on his life.

According to law enforcement agencies, in 2003 in Feodosia, an assassination attempt was made on the lawyer at Kolomoiskyi’s behest due to a corporate conflict surrounding «Dniprospetsstal». Karpenko received numerous stab wounds but survived.

Notably, the criminal case was opened back in 2005, but according to sources, the oligarch managed to buy off the investigation for 50 million dollars at the time. However, in the end, he will still have to answer for what he did.

In addition, since September 2023, Kolomoiskyi has been in custody on suspicion of fraud and is obligated to return 3 billion dollars to «PrivatBank».
