NBU fines Akhmetov’s and Tihipko’s banks as well as UkrSibbank for financial monitoring violations
The National Bank fined Serhiy Tihipko’s and Rinat Akhmetov’s banks, as well as UkrSibbank, in June.
This is stated in the NBU message.
The fines were imposed for violations of the requirements of legislation in the field of financial monitoring and currency legislation.
In particular, PUMB received a fine of UAH 10 million and a written warning, TAScombank – a fine of UAH 200 thousand, Universal Bank (Monobank) – a written warning, UkrSibbank – a fine of UAH 400 thousand.
In addition, LLC “I LOMBARD” received fines of UAH 4.1 million and UAH 100 thousand, as well as two written warnings.
PUMB was founded in 1991.
92.24% of PUMB is owned by SCM Finance.
“SCM Finance” is a subsidiary of System Capital Management and specializes in managing financial institutions.
Universal Bank is part of the “TAS” group of businessman Serhiy Tihipko; Monobank operates under its license.
The group’s financial sector also includes TAScombank, two insurance companies, and a number of other organizations.
UkrSibbank was founded in 1990 in Kharkiv.
Since 2006, the main partner of UkrSibbank has been the international financial group BNP Paribas (France).
