Denmark has allocated more than 10 million euros in additional aid for the Ukrainian energy system

Denmark has directed an additional €10.66 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund. Following this, the country’s total contribution to the fund has risen to €78.5 million. 

This was reported by the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal noted that Denmark remains one of Ukraine’s key partners in strengthening energy resilience. According to him, Copenhagen became the first donor to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.

To date, 39 donors from 26 countries, as well as three international organizations, have joined this assistance mechanism.

“I thank the people of Denmark, the government of the country, and personally the newly appointed Minister of Climate, Energy and Utilities Samira Nawa for the Kingdom’s new contribution to the Fund. This is important support for Ukraine’s energy resilience, particularly in preparing for the upcoming winter,” Shmyhal emphasized.
