The enemy is regrouping forces for an offensive on Orikhiv and the coast of the Kakhovka Reservoir, — Defence Forces

Russian occupiers are hatching plans to intensify their actions in several areas in Zaporizhzhya region, in the Orikhiv direction, in particular on the shore of the former Kakhovka Reservoir, the dam of which the invaders blew up in the summer of 2023.

This was stated on the air of the telethon by the spokesperson of the Defence Forces of southern Ukraine, Colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Voloshyn.

"The enemy in the Orikhiv direction is regrouping in order to resume its active assault actions, especially in two sections of the front. These are sections on the shore of the former Kakhovka Reservoir, where the settlements of Stepnohirsk, Prymorske, and Plavni are located. It will also try to advance towards Orikhiv, attempting to approach and gain a foothold on the outskirts of this city," Voloshyn said.

As the military official noted, these are the enemy’s plans, according to Ukrainian intelligence data.

Also, according to the spokesperson, the enemy is actively using various means of weaponry, in particular, kamikaze drones the most. For example, over 2,200 such strikes were recorded in the south of Ukraine over the past day. In addition, the enemy is actively using aviation – a total of 31 air strikes were carried out using over 70 GABs and almost a dozen and a half various missiles.
