Shortage of agrarians due to mobilization: MP Venislavskyi admits shortage of tractor drivers in villages

Due to active mobilization measures, a number of Ukrainian villages have faced a critical shortage of tractor drivers and combine harvester operators, which threatens agricultural work. At the same time, the authorities announce a change in the notification format to abandon forced measures on the streets, although the department has still not presented a comprehensive concept for the mobilization reform.

People’s Deputy of Ukraine Fedir Venislavskyi reported this, commenting on the state of affairs in the regions.

The MP acknowledged that in some settlements there really are no specialists left capable of operating agricultural machinery, but added that the overall situation in the country is gradually stabilizing. According to him, the Ministry of Defence is working on a new format for notifying citizens, which should make the mobilization process more civilized and minimize the practice of forced “catching” of people on the streets.

These statements come against the backdrop of uncertainty in the leadership of the defense department. After the resignation of Yuliya Svyrydenko, Mykhailo Fedorov continues to perform the duties of the Minister of Defense, but in political circles his possible replacement is actively discussed. The lack of an approved concept for reforming the mobilization system against this background only intensifies public concern and leaves many questions about how exactly the authorities plan to solve the problem of personnel shortage in the rear without harming strategically important sectors of the economy.
