Sternenko: Syrskyi introduces a "ban on publicity" in the AFU due to support for Fedorov

Yesterday during the rally, members of the VSP tried to detain one of the fighters, but fled when people started shouting "Shame!". 

Former advisor to the Minister of Defence Serhiy Sternenko, citing the military, reported that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi ordered a telegram to be sent to units prohibiting fighters from interacting with the media, speaking publicly, making any statements, or giving interviews. If someone fails to comply — official inspections and investigations will be assigned, based on the results of which the "violators" will be held accountable.

Sternenko says that the dismissal of Mykhailo Fedorov from the position of head of the MOU was precisely the reason for this order, as he enjoys massive support not only from civilians but also from the military.

Further, Sternenko quoted a message from one of the fighters who shared the text of the telegram:

"Dear servicemen. You all know that changes have taken place in the government and the Minister of Defence of Ukraine has been replaced. Rallies are currently taking place across the country regarding this. Mass events are also taking place in the city of ****. I remind everyone that no matter how much someone among us may like the new Minister of Defence, servicemen are prohibited from participating in political mass events. Dear brothers and sisters in arms, Ukrainian legislation obliges a serviceman to observe political neutrality".

Also yesterday, a video appeared online showing how the Military Law Enforcement Service, for unclear reasons, tried to detain a serviceman during a rally in support of Fedorov. When people started shouting "Shame!", they fled. 

"Syrskyi gave the order to identify and return as quickly as possible from leave those military personnel who supported the protest, as well as to threaten them with punishment", — Sternenko warned afterward.
