"Fedorov now belongs to us": ex-defence minister’s wife complains of threats, hate and harassment from fangirls

Mykhailo Fedorov’s wife – Anastasiya – shared that the public resonance surrounding her husband’s resignation from the position of Minister of Defence of Ukraine had a negative impact on her. According to the statesman’s partner, his crazy fans allow themselves to openly insult and devalue her online; moreover, there are also people who are not ashamed to brazenly film her in public places.

Anastasiya Fedorova spoke about the issue in her Instagram stories. To avoid speaking without evidence, she shared a screenshot of one hateful comment that read: “Fedorov belongs to us now! Step aside, old hag.”

“If people have complaints about my husband, they take it out on his wife. They order IPSO articles about yachts worth millions and real estate, then wish death on me and my child. And that’s not a joke. When they obsess over my husband, it’s a one-way street because they devalue his wife. ‘You’re still not good enough.’ I’ve had it all. Crazy threats from rabid fans who see my husband as their president or their husband – I don’t know, because it’s hard to tell from their feed. Awkward situations at the office that seriously scared my team,” wrote the ex-minister’s wife.

As Anastasiya Fedorova recounted, the nightmare doesn’t end online. While in a store, she was essentially confronted by several men who were filming her without permission and discussing her. Unable to tolerate the disrespect, the ex-minister’s wife joined their conversation.

“The biggest paradox is that the same person can write that my husband is a genius who should be cloned, and in the next message bash me for not being a worthy wife. That, for me, is the moment when admiration stops being adequate and constructive. I don’t support any cult of personality. But I will always choose justice, values, and decent work results. That’s truly different. That’s what I’m proud of,” Anastasiya Fedorova emphasized.

Later, Mykhailo Fedorov’s wife published a separate post in which she openly shared that, amid all the events, she had seriously considered deleting all her social media and simply shutting herself at home. She had never sought publicity, but unfortunately, life doesn’t always “ask” for our wishes.

“Over the past year, I’ve realized one thing – there’s almost always some kind of f*cking mess going on around me. I didn’t choose it. Neither did my daughter. It comes at the most unexpected moments, like on our 13th anniversary yesterday… But I have chosen and continue to choose self-respect and my own path, because if you start changing yourself because of circumstances, one day you might wake up and not recognize the person in the mirror,” concluded the statesman’s partner.

It is worth noting that even after it became officially known that Mykhailo Fedorov had resigned as Minister of Defence, his wife made no political statements. She emphasized that she values personal boundaries and does not intend to turn her social media into platforms for spreading insider information.
