Massive attack on Ukraine: Air defence shot down 126 enemy targets during nighttime shelling

On the night of July 19, the enemy launched a massive combined strike on Ukraine, directing 166 air attack vehicles toward Kyiv and other regions. The defence forces managed to shoot down or suppress 126 enemy targets, despite the adversary’s attempts to strike critical infrastructure.

This is reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The enemy employed a wide range of weapons, launching 10 Zircon anti-ship missiles, 25 Iskander-M or S-400 ballistic missiles, 3 Onyx missiles, and 3 Kh-59/69 air-launched missiles. The occupiers also used 125 strike drones of various types. The main target of the attack was Kyiv.

Thanks to the coordinated efforts of aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, and mobile fire groups, as of 08:30, 126 air targets were destroyed or suppressed, including 18 missiles and 108 drones. At the same time, hits by 23 missiles and 10 strike drones were recorded at 20 locations, while debris from downed targets was found at another 18 locations. The attack is still ongoing, so citizens are urged to follow safety rules.
