The General Staff of the AFU denied information about the damage to the Bortnychi aeration station

Information about the alleged damage to the Bortnychi Aeration Station as a result of a Russian missile strike does not correspond to reality. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine called not to spread unreliable reports.

This was stated by the spokesman of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Likhovyi.

Earlier, reports appeared in the information space about an alleged Russian missile strike on the Bortnychi Aeration Station. In particular, analyst Viktor Taran claimed that the goal of the attack could have been to disable the object’s power supply, which, in his assessment, could lead to the shutdown of biological wastewater treatment and large-scale environmental consequences.

However, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the information about the damage to the Bortnychi Aeration Station does not correspond to reality.
