Ukrainian drones no longer fly into the Baltics: Lithuania explained this by a change in the tactics of the AFU

Incidents of Ukrainian drones entering the airspace of the Baltic states have ceased, as Ukraine has changed its tactics and shifted strikes to targets located deeper inside Russian territory.

This was stated by Lithuanian Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas.

According to him, Ukraine has the full right to self-defence and is effectively exercising this right; however, for Lithuania, the priority remains the security of its own airspace and citizens.

Kaunas noted that no violations of Lithuanian airspace have been recorded recently. In his view, this is due to Ukrainian defence forces now striking targets located farther from the borders of the Baltic states.

The minister also said that Lithuania continues to strengthen its airspace monitoring capabilities.

In addition, he recalled that studies of drone debris previously found in Lithuania indicate that these were Ukrainian drones that had deviated from their course after being affected by Russian electronic warfare systems.
