"Zero" income and a Lexus in the garage: how Dnipro deputy Vitaliy Solokha lives
While in Dnipro the top topic for discussion — is "closed-open" call centers and other city problems, local deputy Vitaliy Solokha shows a master class in surviving on zero income.
If you look at his reports, officially the guy doesn’t earn anything at all. Instead, the family budget is fully supported by his wife-notary Olha Butskykh.
There’s the full package: a brand-new Tesla Y, elite Rolex and Chopard watches, a bunch of apartments in Dnipro and parking spots. The people’s deputy himself “modestly” drives a Lexus. Where does the family get such resources? The secret is simple: Solokha’s father-in-law — Oleksandr Butskykh, former head of Dnipro’s UBOP, who managed to rank among the top two hundred richest Ukrainians with a fortune of around 60 million dollars.
Vitaliy himself didn’t waste time before joining the city council either — he worked as chief of security at the «DMZ Kominmet» plant. The enterprise is closely linked to Ihor Kolomoiskyi’s «Privat» group, and local residents have been complaining for years about the company’s dump, which pollutes the air in the area. And here, given his security background and connections, the question inevitably arises: isn’t our deputy somehow tied to those same call centers that are now causing so much trouble?
At the same time, things haven’t gone smoothly with ordinary laws for Solokha. The tax authorities had to collect 33 thousand hryvnias in transport tax from him through the courts because he simply “forgot” to pay it. Parking in Dnipro is the same story — he has a pile of fines for cars left abandoned all over the place.
