Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated 26 villages and inflicted significant losses on the Russian Federation: Zelenskyy spoke about the offensive operation

In January–August, Ukrainian troops conducted an offensive operation in the Oleksandrivka direction, during which they liberated 745 square kilometers of territory and returned 26 settlements under Ukraine’s control.

This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

According to him, during the operation, soldiers of the Air Assault Forces and other involved units inflicted significant losses on the Russian occupation contingent. Russian losses amounted to at least 9,550 troops killed and over 6,600 wounded. Ukrainian forces also replenished the exchange fund.

It is noted that during the operation, 26 villages in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhya regions were returned under Ukraine’s control.

“This offensive operation of ours was carried out precisely — exactly as planned,” Zelenskyy emphasized.

He also reported that Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykhailo Drapatyi, Chief of the General Staff Ihor Skybiuk, and Commander of the Air Assault Forces Oleh Apostol briefed him on the results of the active operations and further steps.

“I am proud of the bravery of the Ukrainian warriors! Glory to Ukraine!” the President stated.
