In Novovolynsk, TRC servicemen were attacked: one of them is in serious condition

On August 12, in Novovolynsk, Volyn region, during notification measures, an attack occurred on servicemen of the Volodymyr Raion Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center.

This was reported by Operational Command "West".

According to the military, the notification measures were conducted jointly with representatives of the National Police. As a result of the attack, one serviceman sustained a stab wound to the abdominal cavity. He was hospitalized, and his condition is currently assessed as serious.

The second serviceman sustained an injury to his arm. After receiving medical assistance, his condition is satisfactory.

Operational Command "West" noted that the servicemen who were part of the notification group have combat experience. They were transferred to service in the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers due to health reasons.

The attacker was detained by police officers under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all circumstances of the incident.

Operational Command "West" stated its readiness to cooperate with law enforcement agencies for a comprehensive and objective investigation. The military also contacted the representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in Volyn region to assist in clarifying the circumstances of the incident.
