Poland threatened to stop paying for Starlink for Ukraine: Sikorski appealed to Musk

Poland, which spends about $50 million a year on Starlink services, has threatened to review these payments after SpaceX excluded the country from the general European service region.

This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.

Sikorski appealed to Elon Musk to stop what he called discrimination against Polish Starlink users. He noted that Poland pays about $50 million a year for the company’s services and hinted that Warsaw could review these payments if the situation does not change.

Earlier, SpaceX did not include Poland in a single European region that covered more than 30 other countries. As a result, Polish Starlink accounts face restrictions when using terminals abroad for extended periods.

In particular, users registered in Poland must return to the country after 30 days outside Poland to reset the location counter or switch to a more expensive plan.

At the same time, SpaceX has not officially explained why Poland was not included in the general European service region.
