Czechia has already denied temporary protection to dozens of Ukrainians following new EU rules

In the Czech Republic, dozens of Ukrainian men liable for military service were denied temporary protection after new EU rules came into effect. The refusals were given to men who could not confirm that they had fulfilled their military obligation in Ukraine.

The new rules apply not only to those applying for temporary protection for the first time, but also to Ukrainians who are extending it.

According to the publication, within a week Czech authorities denied protection to dozens of Ukrainian men of conscription age. The reason was that they could not confirm fulfillment of their military obligation in Ukraine.
