The former chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Druz, will be tried for illegal enrichment of over 34.5 million hryvnias

The Prosecutor’s Office has sent an indictment to court against former Chief Psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleh Druz. He is accused of illegal enrichment amounting to more than UAH 34.5 million during the full-scale war.

This was reported by the Prosecutor’s Office.

According to the investigation, in 2023–2024 the official used funds obtained from illegal assets to purchase vehicles and real estate, which were registered in the names of his family members and other third parties.

The investigation established a significant discrepancy between the official’s declared income and that of his associates and the value of the acquired property. Financial analysis also revealed transactions that, according to the Prosecutor’s Office, were used to conceal the origin of the funds and the actual ownership of the assets.

In January 2025, Druz was notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment and declaring false information, after which he was detained. At that time, he was suspected of acquiring unjustified assets worth more than USD 1 million during the full-scale invasion.

In February 2026, the former official was notified of a second suspicion — of laundering property obtained through criminal means.
